Alexander Coull 1810 – 1869

Alexander (shoemaker to trade), according to his death record was born illegitimate. His parents are however shown on that record to be Alexander Coull (stonemason) and Ann Imlach (farm labourer). No birth record has yet been traced. The marriage record confirms his marriage to Janet McBeath in 1838, in Shiprow Chapel, Aberdeen. Janet’s father John (deceased by 1838) had been a carpenter in Aberdeen.
